Ryan Folk, MS

Licensed Marraige and Family Therapist

I am a marriage and family therapist with a passion for helping individuals, couples, and families find healing and connection. I believe that therapy is a powerful tool for transformation, and I'm honored to be a part of my clients' journeys.

I received my Master of Art in Marriage and Family Therapy from Kairos University (formerly known as Sioux Falls Seminary), where I honed my skills and gained the knowledge I need to excel in my field. Since then, I've worked with a diverse range of clients, from traumatized individuals to couples struggling to communicate to families dealing with major life transitions.

My approach to therapy is holistic, client-centered, and evidence-based. I believe in working collaboratively with my clients to identify their unique strengths, challenges, and goals, and developing a tailored treatment plan that meets their needs.

In my practice, I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Bowen Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. Whether I'm using cognitive-behavioral techniques to help clients manage anxiety or mindfulness practices to promote relaxation and self-awareness, I'm always striving to meet my clients where they are and help them move toward greater well-being.

When I'm not working, I enjoy being part of the Sioux Falls community and connecting with like-minded professionals. I find that these activities help me to stay grounded and energized, so that I can be fully present for my clients.

I'm committed to ongoing professional development, attending workshops and trainings to stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in the field. But most importantly, I'm committed to creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where my clients can feel seen, heard, and valued.

If you're looking for a therapist who will work with you to achieve your goals and empower you to lead your best life, I'm here to help.
