Welcome! I’m Sara, and I’m glad you’re here.

Each of us is living a story filled with moments of joy, grief, crisis, and unexpected plot twists. Relationships are the context of this story—we are made for connection, and flourishing relationships require both self-awareness and the ability to truly understand others.

Whether you’re navigating past, present, or future chapters of your journey, therapy can be a transformative space to be seen, heard, and understood without judgment. I’m passionate about supporting people through challenges like depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relational difficulties, betrayal, identity struggles, adoption, cross-cultural adjustment, burnout, and grief. My own experience of living overseas shaped my understanding of the ways cultural context influences identity, relationships, and personal growth.

My approach is informed by Bowen family systems theory, psychodynamic therapy, emotionally-focused couples therapy, and internal family systems, but most importantly, it is tailored to meet your specific needs at this moment in your story. I believe every person’s experience is unique, and I work to ensure that our work together is flexible and personalized.

I hold a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Kairos University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of South Dakota (Go Yotes!).

Outside of therapy, I love spending time with my husband and four children, reading, walking my dog, cooking, and chatting with friends—especially if there’s good coffee involved.

I consider it a privilege to listen to your story and support you as you make meaning of where you are right now. It would be an honor to sit with you and hear your story.
