Stronghold is faithful to the gifts God has given each of
us. Our practice is Biblically based, yet clinically sound.
All staff are fully licensed and continuing a lifelong process
of education, including writing for professional publications.
Stronghold Counseling Services Inc. opened in 1993 to serve
families, couples and individuals. Founding partners J.C.
Chambers, Ed.D., and Marlene Ruff, M.A., and staff combine
for more than 30 years of clinical experience, mostly in
the Sioux Falls area. In the last year Dr. Chambers has
assumed sole leadership of the agency.
We invite you to let us assist you. We can help solve problems
and deal with the discouraging issues of life. We welcome
people of all faiths, as well as those outside the church
who are looking for guidance without judgment, and hope
